Ma puoi biasimarmi? Non sembra un terribile molto simile a uno di quei rossetti ibridi / lucidi che abbiamo visto contatori di trucco stalking negli ultimi due anni?

I FAKEUPS, che arrivano questo marzo, prendono in prestito la stessa idea licantropica combinando due cose diverse. Torcono il tubo per rivelare un bastone con un centro di correttore cremoso circondato da un solido idratante costituito da estratto di vitamina E e Apple.

Per una zona under-eye più luminosa, minore cerchi scuri e un look leggero, basta scorrere sotto gli occhi e si fondono con un dito. La formula idratante (decentemente idratante, ma non mi arrenderei alla crema per gli occhi) spinge anche le mie linee sottili, e voco che sembra una pelle reale.

I benefici piace semplificare i loro prodotti, molte volte di rilasciare cose in una o due tonalità. A volte, penso che funzioni davvero. Tieni le cose semplici, giusto? Come con il loro popolare labbro di Benetint labbro e la guancia.

Cado da qualche parte tra medio e buio, quindi mi sto mescolando le sfumature, swiping entrambi sotto i miei occhi e mescolandoli insieme a un dito.

Lo so. È un po ‘molto, e molte persone non saranno pronte a farlo. Mi piacerebbe usare un stick di colore singolo, ma poi di nuovo, mescolando vivamente due sfumature di nurs pura idratante colorato radiante per ottenere il mio colore su misura, quindi c’è anche questo …

Lightweight and loaded with moisture, they feel like a balm on my lips, but they’re also packed with full-coverage, easy-to-control color. I can wear ’em without a lip liner and don’t need a lip brush to apply, even with the a lot more intense colors like Midnight Mambo and lady at Play.

I get so fired up just talking about some of these, like lady at Play (so bright), glamour era (looks a little like Twig) and Divine Choice, that I have to fan myself! Those are the three that raise my temperature the most. All three easily transition from day to night (yay for flexibility!).

Luxe Naturale, the light beige, tends to break up on my lips at first, so I pat it down to distribute the color and even it out. For me, Naturale’s the least exciting member of this bunch, but that’s not saying a lot because I still think it’s pretty great… could be a very beneficial layering shade.

Today I indicated to just run in and get a tube of NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer, thinking that I’d be in and out of there in two swishes of a tabby’s tail but, uh, that absolutely didn’t happen.

I don’t know how long I was in there, but it was long enough to add all of this to my ever-growing makeup wish list…

The new York Times Dialect Map

Thought you might find this interesting: this new York Times Dialect Quiz really works!

I did it the other day, and it was spot on for me. At the end it shows you three cities you might be from based on your speech patterns.

It’s just a series of questions (took me about 5 minutes), like, “how do you refer to a large group of people?” Do you say “y’all” or “you guys”? and how do you pronounce “aunt”? Do you say “ant” or “ont”?

My three cities were all in northern California, which is where I’m from! and they’re all near placed I’ve lived. Fremont is the town next door to Union City, where I grew up, and Santa Rosa is a few miles north of where I live now.

Strano!

This validates it: I am a California girl through and through.

It’s always the era of era around here. Flexible, because it flatters both warm and cool skin tones, MAC era Eye shadow is a fantastic workhorse neutral to have in your collection, especially if you love taupe.

Officially, MAC explains it as a soft golden beige, and yeah, I can see that, but on my NC42 skin, I’d characterize it as a golden taupe. color temperature-wise, it’s like a best porridge — just right. Neither too warm, nor too cool.

I don’t know…but there’s just something earthy and natural about it. I see it and picture smooth river rocks baking in the hot desert sun…

And the finish? Raso. one of my favorite completes from MAC.

It shines a bit, but doesn’t shimmer, and stops well short of frosty. It’s like a subtle, incredibly pretty soft-focus sheen that just makes skin glow, and it’s so, so wearable.

When it comes time to blend Era, it never protests. A few swipes from a 217, and the soft, buttery formula blends into other colors without a hitch.

It’s best for easy or complicated looks blended with other taupe shades when you want a bridge between darker and lighter colors.

For softly defined eyes, I’ll dust MAC Ricepaper all over my lids, then rock era in the crease with a MAC 217 before smudging black or brown liner along my lash lines, or pulling out the black cat eye liner…

Simple, classic and not excessively flashy, it’s one of those eye looks that balances well with bold lips.

Era might be a good fit for you if…

Watching now on Netflix: Orange Is the new Black

My most current TV obsession is one of Netflix’s new original programs called Orange Is the new Black.

I’ve been binge enjoying it all week… I think I’ve seen six or seven of the hour-long episodes so far (Netflix released the entire first season at the same time).

It’s a dramedy about a woman, Piper, who gets sent to a minimum-security prison for a younger lapse in judgment/non-violent crime she committed about a decade earlier when she was in college. It follows her and her fellow inmates.

I’m not normally big on prison shows (Oz pretty much scarred me for life…although the shirtless Detective Stabler scenes were quite nice), but this one’s a lot more odd and quirky than brutal and shocking.

I like it… There are squirm-worthy moments (not recommended for young kids), but it seems authentic to me (like I know anything bout prison). They do these cool, poignant flashbacks into the lives of the women before they were sent to the prison, and the choices they made along the way. molto interessante.

So tonight, I’m back to packing, believe it or not. Yup, I’m heading to Redding tomorrow to celebrate my father-in-law’s 70th birthday.
